DESCRIPTION: There was a report of Clark's Grebes doing their mating dance on Lake Merced, but by the time the weekend rolled around and I could investigate, the weather had turned bad, the grebes were in hiding and all I could find were coots, mallards,, a few Ruddy Ducks and lots of gulls. Here an American Coot swims past the pier I stood on.
