Monday evening, I spotted feathers flying from the steeple at Capp and 23rd streets. I hurried home to get my 500mm lens and came back to photograph this Peregrine Falcon eating a pigeon. One of the mainstays of the urban falcon diet, pigeons are plentiful in the Mission and one of the main draws that attract falcons to the location. The steeple dormer rooftop is another. It provides a good perch from which to pluck and eat dinner.
