DESCRIPTION: A harshly lit lunchtime viewing of Brown Pelicans flying, diving and taking off in calm air, a Cormorant landing near the pier, and one lone harbor seal at the end of the show. If you make it that far. Lots of repetition, but I am showing these to show how hard it can be for these birds to get off the water when the winds are light, plus how they dive to get their food. I hope you enjoy these shots taken with a 500mm lens plus 1.4 teleconverter on a Canon 1dMkIII
