DESCRIPTION: A smoky day at Pier 14 at noontime. I'm shooting with a 500mm lens with a 1.4x converter on a Canon 1dMkIII body. ISO 400 at f11. 1/1600sec shutter speed. These Brown Pelicans were coming right at me, so as they got closer, I had to pick one and follow it.
