TITLE: Raptor Calendar #4 new for 2010
DESCRIPTION: Raptors can be found throughout the San Francisco Bay area. They are found in parks and along city streets, or nesting on the top of 30-story buildings. Raptors live high on the food chain. By observing their behavior and numbers, we can get a good idea of problems they face and an indication of what we need to do to make the world a safer place for all of us. Challenges include climate change, habitat loss, pesticides and other contaminants, and collisions with wind turbines and building windows. My goal in photography is to bring to others the joy of flight and the incredible speed and grace that raptors exhibit. I hope it will awaken a greater appreciation of nature and the need for conservation of all that we hold dear on this planet.
