DESCRIPTION: We were in Sonoma to attend a wedding and we had time that morning to visit the Sonoma Community Gardens. We only stayed an hour, but we saw a lot of bird life while we were there. I was traveling light and so these are not my best work, but I did want to document what we found. Starting at the parking area, we spotted one of two Turkey Vultures perched overhead on the telephone wire. I had never seen one perch on a wire before, so I got this shot as a reminder. Time: 9:36 AM, lens 400mm f5.6L and Canon 30D body.
