DESCRIPTION: Red-masked Parakeet , latin name Aratinga erythrogenys
Call it what you will, it is one of the famous wild parrots of Telegraph Hill. I have been hearing them quite a bit at lunch time even from out on Pier 14, and I found this one perched on a lamp pole right in front of the Ferry Building.
